Loch Dee

Cycle route sign at Loch Dee

Ah Sunday. That can only mean one thing. Work tomorrow.

Also, it's time for A Sunday Picture which is, and let us face reality here, about all that seems to happen on this blog (sorry).

Anyway as I'm busy publishing extracts from The Secret Coast to Coast (only £3.99 - bargain!), my travelogue about the Southern Upland Way, A Sunday Picture is showing some of the many great photos I took on that trip.

This one is of Loch Dee in Dumfries and Galloway, near the White Laggan bothy where I stayed the night.

The Loch is popular with anglers wanting to catch brown trout. Indeed of all the bothies I stayed in on the trip, this was the only one that I actually had to share!

The bothy had a fantastic view of the loch, but the best view was from the shore, near the end of the loch. Sort of like where this cycle network signpost is, funnily enough...
