Two High To Go

It's September 2020 and after a year full of lockdowns, cancelled holidays and just general chaos, I rather unexpectedly found myself having a week of carefree fell-walking in the Lake District.

I started easy on my first day by visiting two fells with names starting with the word "High" in the Central Fells, near Borrowdale and Derwent Water. High Seat and High Tove.

Walked on 19 September 2020

Route: Ashness Bridge → High Seat → High Tove → Watendlath → Ashness Bridge (via valley).

With stunning views of Derwent Water, High Seat is definitely one of the jewels of the Central Fells.

From High Seat to High Tove on a ridge route apparently not to wish on your worst enemy.
