Carry On Up The Crinkles

It's September 2020 and in a year full of lockdowns, cancelled holidays and just general chaos, I rather unexpectedly found myself having a week of carefree fell-walking in the Lake District.

Day one was spent near Borrowdale, the second in the wonderful Newlands. For the third, I had a lovely horseshoe walk around the highest fell in the North Western area - Grasmoor. Day four was a cheeky visit to Tarn Crag. But now for day five it was time to visit three fells in Langdale I'd been meaning to do for a while...

Walked on 23 September 2020.

Route: Old Dungeon Ghyll → Pike O'Blisco → Cold Pike → Crinkle Crags → Old Dungeon Ghyll.

Pike O’Blisco

Published 14 March 2021

One of Langdale’s lesser known fells. But that’s no reason not to give it a visit.

Cold Pike

It’s not cold and there’s no fish on it.

Crinkle Crags

Published 28 March 2021

Five crinkly rocky summits, maketh one rather long fell.
