I see no ducks
Published 3 September 2023

Normally in August and September, Rambling Man takes some time off. Time to relax, unwind, and, [checks notes] spend time on beaches and water slides with the children. This year I thought I’d do something different. I thought I’d share some photos that I’ve wanted to use in my Sunday Picture feature for a long time but never seemed to find the right time. Well their time is now…
Don’t know if you’ve ever been to Dunsmore in Buckinghamshire. Didn’t even know I had until I found this picture. I passed through on a walk one day. If you’ve never been, don’t worry. It’s basically a hamlet with nothing more than some houses. And some ducks.
I didn’t see any though. Maybe they’d all gone out for the day when I visited in 2010.

Dunsmore? That must have been a very ad hoc walk: not on any named route that I’ve been able to discover. Unless you took a wrong turning on the Ridgeway? :-)

No wrong turns! It was a day walk – the Wendover Circular from the Time Out Book of Country Walks volume 2.
