Oxford Crag and a lovely view of Ullswater
Published 25 April 2021

There are many times when I have been climbing a fell in the Lake District that I come to a point that has an amazing view. A view so splendid that it’s without doubt the star of the whole thing. And quite often that point is nowhere near the summit.
One such spot is Oxford Crag, and it’s part of the ascent of Arnison Crag near Patterdale. And Oxford Crag has a cracking view of Ullswater, and of the Far Eastern Fells. And I can think of little more to say about it than that it’s lovely and I aim to go back one day.
