The end of the day at Glencoe

The sun setting near Glencoe

Most of the photographs in my collection of sunsets were taken in the spring or autumn. It’s very rare that I have any from the summer. Why? Because when I’m walking in the summer months, by the time the sun hits the horizon, I’m safely tucked up in the pub supping a tasty pint.

But not always. Sometimes I happen to be in the right place at the right time. That was the case as we wearily walked a mile down the road from the Clachaig Inn to Glencoe SYHA, after a very long day walking on the West Highland Way.

With sore feat we hobbled along, stopped regularly in our tracks by both boot pain, and the awesome colours in front of us.
