Winshaw Farm

Looking down on Winshaw Farm

I’m on a bit of a Dales Way fest with A Sunday Picture this month. And frankly, why not?

This one is from day four. Or was it day three? No. It was day four.

What is for sure is that Winshaw Farm, the subject matter, is not far from the impressive Ribblehead Viaduct where I’d stayed the night. At the pub, not under the arches.

Anyway, first stage of the day was to climb up a steep hill near this farm. The result was a fine view which includes the mighty fells of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside. Certainly a fitting reward in my opinion.

You can read about my Dales Way journey, over in the Walks section, or even get the book.
