Walking down a lane

Published 26 January 2014

I recently heard a story on the radio that said that people are less likely to remember things if they take a photograph of them.

From what I remember, they were talking about things like gigs, museums, art galleries, and so on. But sometimes I’m astounded by what I can remember just by looking at a photograph.

Take this photograph for example. It’s a perfectly lovely photo but I’m afraid I can’t tell you much about the walk itself – it was a day hike from Otford to somewhere called Eynsford. Myself and Catherine were joined by two friends: Jane and Jacko.

But here’s the thing. I can tell you exactly what myself and Jacko were talking about as we walked down this lane in Shoreham. We were talking about ISAs and financial advice.

Strange but true.
