Argh! A Snake! A Scary Snake!

You see all sorts of wildlife when you’re out walking. Sheep, cows, more sheep, more cows, the odd Red Kites and slugs. Oh and the occasional snake.

Thankfully this one, spotted on the North Downs Way in No Man’s Orchard didn’t bite.

No Man’s Orchard (apparently named because it had split ownership and thus was not owned by “one man”) is an ancient orchard, no longer used commercially but left to grow happily for local residents to enjoy and features this lovely wooden carved snake which weaves its way through the grass.

Should the snake ever get hungry, there’s a wooden apple for it to eat too.

Have your say
