Their Name Liveth For Evermore

Today, across the country, we will remember those that lost their lives in the name of our freedom.
This has been a year that has reminded us – if we ever needed reminding – that a peaceful world is not one that is guaranteed. The idea that we all get along with each other and live in peace and harmony, is not a universally shared ideal.
The last major war to hit our own country may have ended in 1945, but wars continue across the world. And as long as there are wars, people will die.
Today ceremonies will be held across the UK, at churches and memorials. One such memorial is Frodsham Hill War Memorial Park, in Cheshire, which is also the start of the Sandstone Trail. A walk that is so peaceful and wonderful, starts at a point that remembers people lost to us in circumstances that were far from that. But they are not forgotten.
We must never forget those who die in the name of freedom. Those that make the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of us all.
The gates of the park say it all. Their Name Liveth For Evermore.
